The Rüppell is an implement for customers on conservation tillage practices. The In-Line-Ripper is named after the critically endangered Rüppel vulture. Vultures are crucial to maintain the health of the eco-system. Likewise the In-Line-Ripper is changing the future of tillage to maintain healthy soil for a more sustainable future. The word in-line comes from all the tines being mounted on one beam. In-line does not refer to in-line with the planting row, this is a common misperception. In areas where controlled traffic is not adhered to, but the customer would like to have the least amount of soil disturbance this is the perfect implement. The implement will loosen the soil across the whole working width and leave the soil undisturbed. This is perfect for areas with low carbon soil where residue must be left on the surface and not mixed into the topsoil. Due to the spacing of the tine being the same as a 762mm / 30’’ planter, wet ripping is possible with this implement. This aerates the roots, giving them access to oxygen which is the most important ingredient for healthy and fast growing plants. General Specifications: The tines have the capability of a working depth of 350-500mm. Depth control is done by wheels or rollers: Wheels: 23x8.5 – 12 Roller: Ø400mm Tube cage roller All frames have 1 row of tines. Tine spacing: 762mm. Leaf spring fitted as a tripping mechanism, with a breakaway force of 1800 kg. The tines mount to 160x160x10mm tubing made from steel with a yield stress of 355Mpa. This is 135MPa stronger than normal structural steel tubing. Underframe clearance of the tine is 970mm. The tine can trip: 400mm. Comes standard with 22’’ coulters mounted on rubber cords for breakaway, in front of the tines. This ensures that there is material flow through the frame. Optional Extras: The point, shank protector and wing are all casted from earth bucket steel and heat treated to 38-43HRC, this means the share is very hard for good wear resistance but still ductile enough to not break when large shocks are exerted on the share. Side shank protectors are made from 6mm Hardox 450 plate, creating excellent protection for the shank, to have a long service life. Upgrade the leaf packs with hydraulic cylinders
