Powerful and durable, the Krone Big X is an impressive forage harvester. Innovative features set these machines apart from the crowd.. Rolling out of the assembly hall at Spelle, Northern Germany on May 20, 2000, the first Big X signalled the final step in Krone’s transition from a general agricultural machinery manufacturer to a specialist in forage technology. Reacting to the decline in popularity of forage wagons and trailed foragers, the design brief was simple; the company would offer something bigger than the other manufacturers at the time. An engine capable of 600hp was a must, while maize headers with eight, 10 and 12 row options were also needed, as six rows were most prevalent. In addition, a host of electronic features, many of which would later be adopted by the wider market, would deliver performance and operator comfort. Features: 490-653 hp continuous engine output 6 intake rollers for premium safety and a top quality chop MaxFlow chopping drums with 20, 28 or 36 blades, biogas drum with 40 blades KRONE VariQuick for ultra-quick changeover with or without grain conditioner OptiMaxx roller conditioners measuring 250 mm in diameter and 570 mm in width for intensive kernel processing KRONE VariLOC for flexible choice of long and short chops KRONE VariStream – spring-loaded plates beneath the chopping drum and at the crop accelerator ensure a continuous crop flow Convenient hoop coupler for easy attachment to the base machine Superb manoeuvrability from independent wheel suspension and wheel motors. Optionally with four-wheel drive 3 m machine width (depending on tyres) for easy travel on public roads Link: https://landmaschinen.krone.de/english/products/forage-harvester/big-x- Show 0600499831-630/
